THE PAUL SIMON " SONG BOOK " + BONUS TRACKS

FEW VERSION

A studio recording made in England in the early sixties.

Paul's first official recording. Songs include the familiar, classic ones from early S &G period, but these are all Paul.

A must-have fan fans of Paul Simon's songwriting and acoustic guitar playing! 28 tracks total, with 16 bonus tracks, among which are some obscenely rare goodies - "Carlos Dominguez", a Simon tune from an obscure Paul Kane B side; "Overs" and "For Emily" alternate takes; Paul's original "Bridge" demo; "Silent Night" without the 7 O'clock news; etc. The Paul Simon Songbook was Paul's first album, back in '65, recorded in London. Just Paul and his acoustic guitar, playing with passion and sincerity. Hard to believe after all the great stuff he's done since, but his first album was one of his best. This one is a real gem.

Sound A+ Mostly perfect quality outtakes, demos, etc
